  • Client Visits In Detention: Our firm can visit clients detained at the El Paso Processing Center, the El Paso County Jail & Annex, the Otero County Processing Center, the Otero County Prison Facility, the Dona Ana County Detention Center, the West Texas Detention Center, and the newly built El Paso Enhanced Hardened Facility in order to conduct intake interviews, deliver or retrieve documents, obtain signatures, or prepare other forms.

  • If your client has been scheduled for a master calendar hearing or a custody redetermination hearing and you require the in-person appearance of an attorney, Pamela Munoz can make a special appearance on your behalf. Special appearances for individual/merits hearings require notice longer in advance, and in some instances, special permission from the Immigration Judge. Likewise if your client has been scheduled for an adjudication interview with the local USCIS El Paso Field Office and you require the in-person appearance of an attorney, attorney Pamela Munoz can make a special appearance on your behalf. USCIS appearances require notice ahead of time to ensure availability and an opportunity to review the file. Contact the office to discuss.

  • If your client has been scheduled for an interview with USCIS or will testify before the Immigration Court, attorney Pamela Munoz can help you prepare for that interview. Among the types of interviews she can assist with are credible/reasonable fear interviews, marriage-based adjustment interviews, and direct and cross-examination before the Court in support of applications for asylum and cancellation of removal.

  • If you are a criminal defense attorney, you have an ethical obligation to inform your noncitizen clients of the immigration consequences of any criminal conviction or plea deal they are facing. Our office can help!

    I can prepare assessments for other criminal attorneys who want to make sure they're complying with their obligations under Padilla and Chairez, where I go through the statute being charged, the plea deal and the client's immigration history to give them a "roadmap" of possible outcomes ans defenses to deportation and the possible immigration consequences of each.
